Every week the club features a new written piece by a club member as a Poem of the Week. The-Last-Stanza staff and admin scour members' poetry and prose and choose a piece that catches their eye.
Note: We also accept poem suggestions, noted to the club with ' PotW Suggestion ' in the subject line, and a link to the poem with a short description of why you believe it should be featured, in the body.


The Chatroom is a great place for club members to meet and talk about art, life and everything.

The chatroom hosts regular collaborations in the chatroom. They're loads of fun.

Question and Answer sessions in the chatroom give writers a chance to ask the featured poet anything they want.

We also hold poetry shares regularly. If you want advice on new and old poems and prose, come into the chatroom or send us a note.

Poem Of The Week:
May Street by ~lalaland-faerie

This poem 'May Street' won first prize in a competition that the Mosman Library in Sydney organizes every year. Take a few moments to swim through the imagery of the piece.

News:

As you may well be aware, the group is back and slowly picking itself up again. Over the next few weeks we will be updating the site and planning for a collaboration within the groups chat [link] A friendly warm atmosphere is kept at all times by our great staff.

Talking of staff we'd like to introduce you to our new staff crew!

*endless-one: Brice is a good friend of ~infernal-raynatas, they've known each other for a fair while now, with his good knowledge of prose he has now been given the position of head of prose in ~The-Last-Stanza, you can find him under the chat group 'Kafka-wanna-be'

=lady-shirakawa Although the group hasn't been active for a long while, Tessa has strived to try and keep the chat going no matter what, because of her enthusiasm in keeping the chat alive we decided it was right to promote her into our staff team.

~Random-Elric Elric is a new young poet on DA with alot of talent and has alot of experience in running forums and webgroups, because of this and his friendly outlook towards new people, we have decided he would be a valued part of out team!
